Sanitise your car and prevent coronavirus from spreading. Cars are smaller in space than a house and there are many nooks and crannies where viruses can be lurking. If you are transporting individuals in your vehicle daily, you will need to sanitise your car daily.
Sanitise Your Hands
Always make sure you have disinfectant wipes handy. As a driver, you may not be able to stop at a restroom or have access to water while travelling. There are many disinfectant wipes available at most pharmacies. If you cannot find any, then good old baby wet wipes will do the job just as well.
Clean the Outside of your Vehicle
Door handles are touched the most and these should be cleaned with a cloth and distilled water every time someone gets into the vehicle. Distilled water can be poured into a handy spray bottle and is easy to store in all vehicles.
Cleaning the Inside Surfaces of Your Vehicle
Your passengers may cough and touch surfaces inside the vehicle. For hard non-porous surfaces, you can use disinfectant household cleaner.
- Steering wheels
- Gear stick
- Handbrakes
- Indicators and light switches
- Seatbelts
- Door handles
- Mirrors
- Windows
- Car radio
- Dashboard
- Door panels
For leather surfaces, it is best to use non-alcohol based disinfectant, but distilled water and a soft cloth will do just fine.
When you sanitise your car, always wear gloves and a mask to protect yourself from coronavirus infection. Let us spread the word and keep all essential travellers safe and protected.
