I needed to unexpectedly transport a vehicle from KZN to Cape Town. My time in KZN was limited and I was panicked on whether I’d be able to get my car moved on time. I had great initial communication and organising of when to have my car ready, plans were even made to accommodate me. Communication did get a little lost in the middle, but I received my car as promised, on the day it was promised, so all is well. Peter Cowie2024-04-24A while ago we had IAM's transport a car from Salt Rock to Cape Town and more recently another car was transported from Cape Town to Salt Rock. The booking process went smoothly and so did the arrangements for the collection and delivery of the vehicles. The duration of the transportation was around four days and the cost was less than driving the vehicle with stop-overs. For the first transport we collected the car from the truck at an agreed location and for the second transport we had to drop off the car at a location in Somerset West on the site of another transporter...we have advised IAM to be more specific on directions because it was not obvious where to find the IAM office as there was no IAM signage. The team (Johan Bester & Esrom) with the drivers were efficient and prompt in delivering the car from Johannesburg to Cape Town. They have kept me up to date and this is what I liked the most. Esrom indicated when the car left Johannesburg and when the expected delivery time was to receive the car in Cape Town. The driver contacted me when he reached Paarl to ask if i was available in the evening. The car was also delivered a day before schedule.
